Our Lady Peace, often abbreviated OLP, is a Canadian alternative rock band consisting of Raine Maida (vocals, guitar), Duncan Coutts (bass), Jeremy Taggart (drums), and Steve Mazur (guitar). Until 2001, guitarist and founding member Mike Turner was a member of the band. During their career they have sold over 5 million albums worldwide, won four Juno Awards out of twenty nominations, and won ten MuchMusic Video Awards, including the People’s Choice Award in 1997, 1998 and 2000. They have the most awards won by any artist or group at the MMVA’s. The band has finished its ‘Paranoid Times Tour’, which saw them stopping in several North American cities between April and May of 2006. With them was a fifth stage member, Joel Shearer (of the band Pedestrian).

Muse – Black Holes and Revelations (FLAC)

Black Holes and Revelations is the fourth studio album by English rock band Muse, released on 3 July 2006. Recording was split between New York and France, and it was the first time Muse had taken a more active role in the album’s production. The album was a change in style from Muse’s previous albums, and the band cited influences that included Queen, Millionaire, Sly and the Family Stone, Depeche Mode, Franz Ferdinand and music from southern Italy.
Black Holes and Revelations was placed at #34 in a public vote by Q Magazine for The Best British Albums of all time in February 2008.

Avett Brothers – I and Love and You (2009)@320

There is no harmony like brotherly harmony. Something indelible in the weave of voices and play of sensibilities is stamped into the fraternal DNA and also stems from a lifetime of shared experiences. You can hear it in classic brother acts across the musical spectrum, from the Louvin Brothers to the Everly Brothers and on down the decades through the Wilson brothers (Beach Boys), the Davies brothers (Kinks), the Allman Brothers and even the Brothers Gibb (a.k.a., the Bee Gees). You can clearly hear fraternal magic at work in the songs of Scott and Seth Avett, better known as the Avett Brothers, as well.

That magic is abundantly evident on I and Love and You, the Avett Brothers’ big-label debut, produced by Rick Rubin. Its 13 songs are delivered in a style that defies pigeonholing but might be described as a rootsy amalgam of folk, country, bluegrass, rock and pop – even a jab of punk-style dynamics here and there.

Freaky Age – Living In Particular Ways (2010)

Freaky Age is a four-piece Indie-rockband from Ternat (Belgium) who was founded late 2003. After just a couple of gigs they decided to send a demotape to Humo’s Rock Rally edition 2006, the most important Belgian contest. They made it to the finals and were, with our average age of 14 years old, the youngest band to ever make it to the finals and to play at the Ancienne Belgique (AB) stage.

At that moment Freaky Age was still a trio (two guitars, drums & vox), but six months after the finals Dete joined the club as a bassplayer.

I like them very much, they are pretty catchy! Enjoy!
